Underfloor heating in Kohimarama
Electric under-tile heating supplied and installed for Kohimarama homes — with your price worked out on this page, not after a callback.
Central Auckland is a short run in from our Henderson base. A lot of the work here is bathroom renovations in older villas and bungalows, where the existing floor almost always needs levelling before the heating cable and screed go in.
What it costs in Kohimarama
Same pricing everywhere we work in Auckland — there is no travel charge for Kohimarama. These are real numbers from our estimate calculator, supplied and installed, excluding GST.
| Room | Size | Supplied & installed |
|---|---|---|
| Small bathroom | up to 3m² | $1,015 +GST |
| Standard bathroom | about 5m² | $1,245 +GST |
| Large bathroom | about 8m² | $1,590 +GST |
| Kitchen or living area | about 12m² | $2,050 +GST |
Covers greater Auckland. Estimate assumes standard install conditions — no floor prep included; grinding or extra levelling is quoted separately. Final quote varies with site conditions. This is an estimate, not a quote. Discounts are available if your electrician connects and certifies the system, if the floor is already level, if you give five or more days' notice, or if several rooms are done in one visit.
What a Kohimarama install includes
- Electric heating cable
- Floor levelling screed
- Smart thermostat
- Install & commissioning
- Electrical Code of Compliance certificate
We lay the heating cable and the levelling screed, and fit the thermostat. A registered electrician connects the system to the mains and issues the Electrical Code of Compliance certificate — that is the law in New Zealand, and it is included unless you would rather use your own electrician.

“Great communication from the team, punctual arrival onsite, and a tidy install. Suggested going into the walk-in shower, which I definitely wouldn't have considered myself. Looking forward to warm feet!”
